SMS Text Messaging & Auto-Notification Feature

There are two forms for communication with your parents via their cell phones' texts. One options is an auto-text notifications and the other option is a text message. Both of these options have to be opted in on the parent account.  Here are descriptions for both options:

Auto-text notifications
This is generic message that your parents will receive automatically alerting them when an FDmail message is sent to their parent account.  The auto-text notification will read 'You have a message waiting for you in your FastDirect parent account'.

Text messaging
An FDmail message will be sent via text message to parents' cell phones. Only those who have elected to allow (activated) the feature will receive the notification because normal cell phone provider text message fees apply.

Please note - SMS technology will strip any HTML code used within the message. Information sent via text messaging is not secure. Do not include any sensitive material. FCC regulations apply. Messages retrieved from the school portal are protected by USER passwords and Secure Socket Layer, to help ensure the privacy
and integrity of information transmitted over the internet.
