Dear School Families:

We look forward to seeing you this evening at our Advent Family Activity Night, please join us at 6:30 PM in the cafeteria for activities to prepare us for the coming Advent season.

Next Wednesday, November 26, we will have an All School Mass at 8:15 AM to begin our Thanksgiving holiday. Please join us in prayer as we thank God for the many blessings He has bestowed upon our school and community. During this season of thanks, the faculty, staff, and I are extremely grateful for the continued support and dedication of our school and parish families. Thank you for the many gifts you provide us on a daily basis!

Sunday, November 30, begins the first week of Advent. During this time of waiting, we plan and prepare for the coming of the Christ Child. Through the busyness of the season, may you take some time to slow down and enjoy the preparations during the coming weeks.

Please keep our 2nd graders in your prayers as they are in the final weeks of preparation for First Reconciliation. They will receive the Sacrament on Wednesday, December 3, at 6:30 PM.

On Thursday, December 4, Student Council will be having a peanut butter and jelly dress-down day for Saints Teresa and Bridget Parish and Community Center. If children wish to dress down that day, they should bring in either a jar of peanut butter or jelly (or both!). The food will be delivered to the Parish to help the homeless throughout the holiday season. Thank you for your support!

All women of the Parish are invited to the Women’s Advent Encounter Retreat on December 5 – 7. This is a wonderful opportunity to come together, take some time from the rush of holiday preparations, and rekindle your relationship with Jesus. Details can be found in the week’s packet.

We will begin our annual Christmas Toy Drive on Monday, December 8. Toys will be given to SERVE St. Charles. Please bring in new, unwrapped toys for the families. Toys will be collected through Thursday, December 11. Prior to delivering the gifts, we will have a blessing over the gifts in the gym. Thank you for taking this wonderful opportunity to help those in need and providing their families with special things on Christmas. We are very grateful!

Please see the flyer in the Thursday packet for Advent by Candlelight on December 14, at 6:30 PM. This is a wonderful evening for women of the parish to come together and celebrate the season of Advent.

In this week’s envelope you will find information regarding Christmas with Comet. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to visit with Santa as well as begin the holiday season of festivities. Mark your calendar for December 6, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Among the activities there will be raffle baskets. We are asking Preschool through 3rd Grade to put together baskets for Christmas with Comet and in January 4th through 8th Grade will be asked to put together baskets for Trivia Night. Information can be found in this week’s packet for the raffle baskets. Thank you!

Please mark your calendars for St. Cletus Trivia Night being held on Saturday, January 24, with doors opening at 6:00 PM. Information can be found in this week’s packet. This is a wonderful evening to spend with friends, having fun, and sharing in the St. Cletus Spirit! We would appreciate your help in supporting this fun-filled evening!

Please share the news of Our Help Pave the Path to Play Program! We have 65 bricks which is a wonderful start for our program. I would like to thank those individuals who have purchased a brick already! Please know that bricks can be purchased by individuals going together, by classes, in memory of or as a challenge between different groups, etc. Individuals can also donate without purchasing a brick. We appreciate everyone’s commitment to helping us provide a new playground for the children.
