Dear School Families:

Last night was a wonderful evening for our 2nd Graders. Thank you for the prayers and support you have provided the children through the first semester!

Thank you so much for your generous donations of peanut butter and jelly today to help the homeless. We are grateful for your donations!

Please keep the women of the parish who are attending the Women’s Advent Encounter Retreat this weekend in your prayers.

This Sunday, December 7, the 9:30 AM Mass is the 6th Grade Family Class Mass. This is a wonderful opportunity for all the parishioners with 6th Graders to come together to pray and enjoy donuts in the cafeteria after Mass. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

Come join us on Monday, December 8, at our 8:15 AM All School Mass to celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Our Christmas Toy Drive begins this coming Monday, December 8. Toys will be given to SERVE St. Charles. Please bring in new, unwrapped toys for the families. Toys will be collected through Thursday, December 11. Prior to delivering the gifts, we will have a blessing over the gifts in the gym. Thank you for taking this wonderful opportunity to help those in need and providing their families with special things on Christmas. We are very grateful!

Please see the flyer in the Thursday packet for Advent by Candlelight next Sunday, December 14, at 6:30 PM. This is a wonderful evening for women of the parish to come together and celebrate the season of Advent.

Next Wednesday evening, December 10, the Consolidated Catholic Schools Band will perform their Christmas Concert at 6:30 PM in our gym. The children have been preparing throughout the past semester and are doing a magnificent job. Our thanks to Colleen Chruma for a wonderful evening of music! We look forward to seeing you there!

There are many times when children may be involved in parish activities that do not begin right after dismissal. Please note that for the safety of the children, they are not allowed to be in the school unattended while waiting for activities to begin. Please make arrangements for your child/children to be monitored or to go home with a friend and then come back to school when their activity is scheduled. Thank you for helping provide a safe environment for our children!

Please note that we go outside for recess until the temperature or wind chill reaches 19 degrees. Please make sure your children come to school dressed appropriately for such weather. I appreciate your help in keeping our children warm.

We are looking forward to Christmas with Comet this Saturday, December 6. Please remember that if you want to preorder food from Raisin’ Cane’s orders must be received by tomorrow, December 4. Our thanks to Mike and Allyson Fitzgerald for organizing this eventful evening, Brie Sprengnether for organizing the baskets, and all the families who donated items for the baskets! I would also like to thank everyone who has made this evening a possibility!!! What a great way to celebrate together - see you on Saturday!

There is one week left to order your Cookie Kits from Sweet Southern Treats. In the packet this week you will find a flyer from the PTO for the Cookie Kits. Orders need to be received by Friday, December 12 and kits will be sent home on Thursday, December 18. Thank you for your support!

In the packet this week you will find information for St. Cletus Trivia Night being held on Saturday, January 24, with doors opening at 6:00 PM. This is a wonderful evening to spend with friends, having fun, and sharing in the St. Cletus Spirit! We would appreciate your help in supporting this fun-filled evening!

Please share the news of Our Help Pave the Path to Play Program! We have 75 bricks which is a wonderful start for our program. I would like to thank those individuals who have purchased a brick already! Please know that bricks can be purchased by individuals going together, by classes, in memory of or as a challenge between different groups, etc. Individuals can also donate without purchasing a brick. We appreciate everyone’s commitment to helping us provide a new playground for the children.

Enjoy dinner next Tuesday, December 16, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at St. Cletus Night at Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A will donate a percentage for every purchase to the St. Cletus PTO. Details can be found in the flyer in this week’s packet. We appreciate your support - Thank you!
