St. Cletus ~ Rooted in ChristMessage Community Worship Service
May 21, 2026 Dear School Families:
I would like to thank everyone for their donation of peanut butter and jelly today for Saints Teresa and Bridget Parish and Community Center. The summer months are hard for many organizations to have enough food for the need that exists - thank you for your support!
Next Wednesday, May 27, we will celebrate together at the final All School Mass of the year. Please join us as we end the 2025 – 2026 School Year and begin summer vacation! After Mass, please join us in the gym as we have our Awards Assembly. We will be distributing the St. Cletus, Principal, and Reading Awards for all students and Academic Excellence Awards for the 5th – 7th Grade students. Following the Awards Assembly, our 7th Grade SCORE Class will have their Bridge Braking. We are excited to celebrate at the end of the year.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our school families, PTO, and Men’s Club for a wonderful year at St. Cletus. I am so appreciative of the generosity you provide the teachers and myself throughout the year. It is through this generosity that we are able to provide the children a solid, challenging academic and spiritual program on which they can build a foundation for their future development.
I would also like to thank Fr. Chris for a wonderful year, His leadership has been amazing, and his weekly homilies have been inspiring – bringing the Gospel to life for all of us. Our thanks to Fr. Rich for greeting us each morning to share his smile and start our day off on a positive note! Our thanks to Deacon Mark for his spiritual guidance and support, it is greatly appreciated.
My thanks to the children for putting forth their best effort at school every day throughout the year. They have worked to their full potential and have strived to live the gospel message on a daily basis. I would also like to thank the Student Council for doing such a wonderful job as leaders of the school. We are extremely proud of their efforts and abilities.
Lastly, I would like to thank the faculty and staff for their dedication and devotion to St. Cletus. I am privileged to work with an amazing group of individuals on a daily basis. I am grateful for the spiritual and academic environment they help establish for the children. Unfortunately, one of our staff members will be leaving us this year. Mrs. Danielle Lowe will be joining Duchesne High School for the 2026-2027 school year. It has been wonderful having her with us this past year - we will miss her greatly. She will be in our thoughts and prayers as she moves to her new position.
While it is sad to see a familiar face leave us, we would like to welcome Mrs, Gina Ralston to our St. Cletus Community. She will be joining us as a part-time Resource Teacher. She has previously taught at Faith Preschool and has a background in early childhood education with a specialty in special education.
In the envelope you will find a flyer regarding becoming an Altar Server. We currently have a huge need for additional Altar Servers. This year there will be Altar Server Training during the summer, beginning Monday, June 15 through Thursday, June 18. This is a wonderful opportunity for students in 5th – 8th grade – it is never too late to become an Altar Server! Please take a few moments to discuss this with your child/children. Being an Altar Server for weekday and weekend Masses, along with Weddings and Funerals, is a wonderful opportunity for the children. Thank you!
The children will be bringing home their NWEA results today, testing closed this past Monday - May 18. In the packet this week you will find a flyer with information regarding the results. We are proud of all the children for their efforts while testing – they did a wonderful job.
In the packet this week you will find a flyer regarding the IXL Program. During the school year, the children take a weekly diagnostic and there are recommended skills that are generated from this. Taking the diagnostic weekly, can be completed in a short amount of time – the longer time that exists between diagnostics lengthens the time it takes for completion. We ask that the children continue to take the weekly diagnostic throughout the summer and work on some of the recommended skills. The information provided will give details on how to access the IXL Program. This is a wonderful way for the children to practice skills throughout the summer. Homeroom teachers will be sending information home providing password information as well as what they are individually recommending for their students for summer work.
Report Cards will be available to view at noon on Friday, June 5.
Please note that the Back to School Night will be held on Tuesday, August 4, at 6:30 PM. We will be holding it prior to the first day of school so all information can be given to families before we begin classes. We look forward to seeing you there!
If you know of anyone interested in attending St. Cletus School please share this information with them. We are always happy to provide information and tours of the school to interested families. The best way to spread the good news about St. Cletus is through word of mouth.
In the packet today you will find a flyer regarding the School Specialty Supply Kidz. The supply kits are being offered again by the PTO this year. This year we are using a new company – there are two options per grade level – one with generic brands and one with brand names. School Kits are mailed to your home prior to the first day of school. Our thanks to Mrs. Lowery, and the PTO for organizing this service.
Organizations wishing to have information in the first envelope of the year will need to have all flyers to the school office by Thursday, July 23. The beginning of the year packet will be ready for pick-up on Thursday, July 30. Please pick-up your envelope prior to the first day of school. Thank you!
Please share the news of Our Help Pave the Path to Play Program! We have sold 111 bricks, which is wonderful. I would like to thank those individuals who have purchased a brick already! Please know that bricks can be purchased by individuals going together, by classes, in memory of or as a challenge between different groups, etc. Individuals can also donate without purchasing a brick. We appreciate everyone’s commitment to helping us provide a new playground for the children.
I would like to thank and congratulate everyone on the huge success of the Glow Run. The children raised $4,283.08 towards the playground. Our 4th Grade ran the most laps from all the classes and our Kindergarten brought in the most funds per child - $66.00 per child! Both classes will be receiving pizza parties prior to the end of the school year. Our tremendous thanks to all who participated. If you have time, please stop by the school lobby and view the rendering of the playground! Our thanks to your continued support!
Our thanks to everyone who worked together to make last weekend’s Parish Picnic a huge success. Everyone had a wonderful time! We would like to thank everyone who participated in the St. Cletus Mega Raffle – the ticket sales were wonderful! Our 6th graders won the Pizza Party for the class who sold the most tickets. Our thanks to all who participated!
There is still time to sign up and grab your hiking boots and take a step through the misty air of Rainforest Falls, overflowing with wild waterfalls, towering trees, and colorful creatures. Beneath a canopy of chattering birds and howling monkeys, children plunge into a lifelong adventure of discovering the nature of God. They'll explore what it means to be rooted in relationship with God, their creator, a refuge in life's storms. Registration has begun for this tropical adventure during the week of June 8 - 12. Children entering Kindergarten through 5th Grade are invited to join the adventure. 6th Graders and up are invited to sign-up to be a volunteer. Come join the adventure by following this link – vbspro.events/p/saintcletus and look forward to an adventurous week in under a canopy adventure this summer!
Soccer and Volleyball registration are in full swing! Visit the Athletics page on the Saint Cletus Parish website. Families have until June 6 to register for the coming season.
There are a few days left to participate in the Uniform Exchange. Please drop by at any time during the day, sign in at the school office, and browse the uniforms. This is an awesome way to exchange outgrown uniforms or simply donate gently used uniforms. Our thanks to the PTO for organizing this event. Lost & Found will also be available at this time. Please stop by to collect any missing items.
The PTO is sponsoring a St. Cletus Day at Doozle’s on Wednesday, May 27. Join us from 12:00 – 3:00 PM. If you mention St Cletus, 15% of every order will be given to the PTO. Join us for a refreshing way to celebrate the end of the year!
The PTO will be having a Uniform sale on Thursday, July 9, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Mark your calendar to stop by the cafeteria!
This week’s STP Tip of the Week: It is extremely helpful to continue using STP Certificates throughout the summer. Certificates can be purchased after all the weekend Masses or by contacting Jess Lister through Fast Direct or at 636-487-6248. We appreciate your continued support.
Organizations wishing to have information in the first envelope of the year will need to have all flyers to the school office by Thursday, July 23. There is still much to do in preparation for the coming year and more details will be available at the beginning of the 2026 – 2027 School Year. I look forward to another successful year at St. Cletus and wish to thank everyone for their constant support and dedication to the children, faculty, and staff!
