St. Cletus ~ Rooted in Christ

Message Community Worship Service

March 5, 2026

Dear School Families:

This Saturday, March 7, the 2nd graders of our parish and their parents will come together to make bread as part of their preparation for First Communion. After the bread making activity, the families will attend Mass together and then enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by our 1st Grade Families - with the bread that was made by the children and their parents. Please keep the children in your prayers as they prepare for this special Sacrament!

Next Thursday, March 12, the 5th graders will be leading the Traditional Stations of the Cross in the gym at 10:15 AM. Please join us as we pray the Stations together. Thank you!

In the packet this week you will find a flyer for our Lenten Family Activity Night next Thursday, March 12, at 6:30 PM in the school cafeteria. Join us for an hour of activities, beginning with prayer as we journey through Lent and prepare for the coming Triduum and Easter celebrations.

We have the totals from the Pro-Life Committee Baby Bottle Collection Drive. We are proud to announce that this year the children collected a total of $282.72 to help Birthright. Congratulations!!! The Respect Life Apostolate of our Parish is so grateful. We, along with the St. Cletus Respect Life Apostolate, would like to not only thank everyone for their participation, but congratulate them for their generosity in assisting others! The total for the girls is $200.56 and the total for the boys is $82.16. Congratulations to the children for bringing in funds for such a worthwhile cause. The girls will receive their dress down day in April. Both groups did an amazing job – Thank you!

Next Tuesday and Wednesday we will have the Talent Show Previews at 3:00 PM. There is still time for children to sign-up to share their talent with everyone. I am always in awe at the talent of our students! The Talent Show will be held on the morning of March 18.

Congratulations to the St. Cletus members of the Consolidated Catholic Schools Band (CCSB) who participated in the Elementary Band Festival at Duchesne on Sunday, March 1! The band did an amazing job, receiving “Exemplary” ratings (the highest rating possible) from the judges. St. Cletus band members who participated in the event are Mike Ayres, Josh Lampe, Michael Lemkemann, Ethan Potter, Catelyn Autry, Adam Bardot, Lucie Henderson, Violet Lopez, Isaac Yanez, Flynn Ferguson, and Nola Tohtz. We are so proud of you!

If you have not completed your registration for the 2026 - 2027 School Year, please do so as soon as possible. I would like to have registration completed by the end of April in order to make preparations for the coming school year. Please contact Sarah, Mary, or me if you are in need of the link to the registration or an additional
hard copy. Thank you!

In the packet this week you will find a School Board Self-Nomination Form. If you are interested in becoming a member of the St. Cletus School Board, please complete the information and return it to either Heather Behrmann or Megan Dunkmann or to the school office by Thursday, March 26. Elections will be held on April 25 and 26 after all Masses. Please consider running for a position on the St. Cletus School Board. Thank you!

Our second Fish Fry last Friday was a huge success! 1370 dinners were served! What a fun and busy evening – everyone worked together to have things running smoothly as the crowds came through. We ask that each family works a minimum of three Fish Fry shifts – you’ll find that the evening is filled with fun and comradery. You can sign up for shifts on Sign-Up Genius, there is a QR code to the link on the flyer in this week’s packet. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with members of our St. Cletus Community. In the packet this week you will find a form from the Fish Fry Committee. If an individual works 4 fish fry shifts – you can choose one of the shirts on the form. Thank you for your continuous support!

Please remember that it is wonderful to have homemade desserts to end a perfect meal during the Fish Fry. A large number of desserts are consumed weekly; if you are able to bring a dessert it is appreciated! Desserts may be delivered to the cafeteria anytime on Friday. Thank you for your help!

Every Friday during the Fish Fry we will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets. The raffle will run through March 27, at 7:00 PM. The winner will receive half of the raffle, and the other half will go towards the playground fund. As of last Friday, the total collected is $1,973.00! Thank you for supporting our playground!

In the packet this week you will find information regarding our Music Bingo, being held on Saturday, April 18, at 6:00 PM. Come enjoy an evening of song with family and friends!

Please share the news of Our Help Pave the Path to Play Program! We have sold 101 bricks which is a wonderful start for our program. I would like to thank those individuals who have purchased a brick already! Please know that bricks can be purchased by individuals going together, by classes, in memory of or as a challenge between different groups, etc. Individuals can also donate without purchasing a brick. We appreciate everyone’s commitment to helping us provide a new playground for the children.

This week’s STP Tip of the Week: Check out the Discover tab on the Raise Right app to find Deals and Coupons from a variety of businesses.

We look forward to seeing you this evening at the PTO Meeting at 6:30 PM in the school cafeteria. There will be a Social at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria prior to the meeting. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting. Thank you!

Have a wonderful weekend!
