Dear School Families:

In the envelope this week you will find a paper about two of the Keys to Success – Discipline and Performance. These are the seventh and eighth keys of our program. Please use these to discuss the program with your children. Thank you!

Our Pennies from Heaven collection has begun and will run through Friday, September 26. All funds collected through the drive will benefit the annual Friends of the Poor Walk/Run, on September 27. Thank you for your support of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and especially our Mini Vinnies! We are grateful for your donations.

Please note the All School Mass scheduled for next Friday, September 19 has been moved to Thursday, September 18. Archbishop Rozanski has called a meeting for all pastors and principals on Friday morning. The Dress Down Day with the Decades theme has been moved to Friday, September 19. Thank you!

In the packet this week you will find an invitation for Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day at St. Cletus on Friday, October 3, beginning with Mass at 8:15 AM. Your child’s homeroom teacher will be reaching out to you this week asking for the number of individuals who will be attending the day with us. In order for us to have an accurate count for food, please let your teacher know the number attending by Wednesday, September 17. This is a fun filled day for our children – a chance to spend the day with our Grandparents and Special Friends. If your schedule allows, please help us by putting on the best day possible.

Please remember to return your completed Parent/Teacher Conference form to the office by Monday, September 15. You will be receiving a confirmation note prior to the conference. We appreciate all sign-up forms being returned by the due date to assist us in scheduling the conferences. Thank you!

This Sunday, September 14, from 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM the Impact life Blood Drive is being held at St. Cletus. This is a wonderful way to help patients in need.

5th – 8th Grade Families – In the packet this week you will find a flyer for a Catholic High School Night Presentation. This event will be held on Tuesday, September 23, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, at CBC High School. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about Catholic High Schools in our local area, while it may seem unbelievable to be thinking of high school while only in Fifth Grade, due to the number of schools to possibly inquire about, this is a wonderful age to begin the process. This allows plenty of time to inquire, research, and then determine the best high school choice by Eighth Grade. Thank you!

Please remember now that we have gotten settled into the school year, that at arrival and dismissal we ask that families stop by the front office to drop off or deliver items their child may need or have forgotten. We will deliver the item to your child in a timely manner. Thank you for your help in this matter.

There are still slots available help the St. Cletus Men’s Club Athletic Association with the annual Oktoberfest the last weekend of September. They are in need of workers; there are a number of available shifts for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday (September 26, 27, & 28). Please consider joining the fun and volunteering for one or two shifts during the weekend. In the packet this week you will find a flyer with PTO Volunteer opportunities in the coming months. Please consider signing up and helping! Our PTO does an excellent job of fostering community and bringing all members of our community together so we can be one parish. We appreciate your gift of time!

Last week you received an order form for Dan O’s Pizza. Throughout the years, as requested by parents, we have offered frozen pizzas for sale. If you are interested in ordering pizzas or other items, please complete the order form and return it to school by Monday, September 22. We appreciate your support!

In the envelope this week you will find a flyer regarding 90’s Music Bingo. PTO is sponsoring a 90’s Music Bingo on Saturday, November 8, at 6:30 PM (doors open at 6:00 PM). Enjoy an evening with friends, listening to a variety of music, enjoying each other’s company, and having a chance at prizes! Looking forward to seeing you there!

Please note the request for donations for this year’s Book Fair. You can find a donation box in the school lobby. We appreciate help with gathering books for our October Fair.
