St. Cletus ~ Rooted in Christ

Message Community Worship Service

March 26, 2026

Dear School Families:

We are looking forward to our Day of Prayer and Shadow Stations tomorrow. These are the most important days for us as Catholics, we have been preparing for this time for the past 40 days. This year we are having Shadow Stations at 9:00 AM in the gym. The 8th Graders will be acting out the Stations and we will only be able to see their silhouettes as we pray the Stations of the Cross. We will then be spending the afternoon with a variety of activities that will provide us the opportunity to prepare for the coming Triduum. If your schedule allows, please join us. Our thanks to Mrs. Kerkemeyer and Mrs. Henderson for organizing the Stations and all our teachers for planning such amazing activities for our students.

The Mini Vinnies of St. Cletus, Seton Regional, and St. Charles Borromeo Schools are assisting The Loyal Order of Squirrels, a non-profit charitable organization in St. Charles County, by hosting a bike collection on Saturday, April 11 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Collections for gently used bikes will be held at each of the schools. Over the past 24 years, this organization has gifted over 6,000 bikes to those in need. We appreciate your help with this wonderful cause.

In the packet this week you will find information to order a 2025 – 2026 St. Cletus School Yearbook. If you would like a yearbook, you can order online (by using the QR code on the order form) or by completing the form and returning it to the school office by Friday, May 8. Thank you!

The children will be coming home soon with information regarding our upcoming Glow Run. This is an exciting event which will be held on Thursday, April 23. The children will have a wonderful time at this event, running laps and playing a number of glow games. We will have a neon/bright color Dress Down Day so we can glow as we run! If your schedule allows, please feel free to stop by and view the fun! All proceeds will go towards the Playground. Our thanks to Marianne Prather and the Playground Committee for sponsoring this fun event!

If you have not completed your registration for the 2026-2027 School Year, please do so as soon as possible. I would like to have registration completed by the end of April in order to make preparations for the coming school year. Please contact Sarah, Mary, or me if you are in need of the link to the registration or an additional
hard copy. Thank you!

Tomorrow is our final Fish Fry evening! Last week we served 1157! Every week the effort has been amazing, the community atmosphere has been wonderful, and the crowds have grown and grown! Join us tomorrow - your last chance to help at a Fish Fry – and experience the great atmosphere. We would like to thank you for your support throughout the past six weeks whether it be by working, attending, or both!

Tomorrow is your last chance to bring in a dessert to help the Fish Fry. We would like to thank everyone who helped satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth throughout the season. Thank you so much for your help!

Every Friday during the Fish Fry we have been selling 50/50 raffle tickets. Tomorrow is the final night – at 7:00 PM we will find out who the lucky winner will be. The winner will receive half of the raffle, and the other half will go towards the playground fund. We will begin the evening with a total of $5,490.00 – looking forward to seeing the final total. Thank you for supporting our playground!

In the packet this week you will find information regarding our Music Bingo, being held on Saturday, April 18, at 6:00 PM. Come enjoy an evening of song with family and friends!

Please share the news of Our Help Pave the Path to Play Program! We have sold 105 bricks which is a wonderful start for our program. I would like to thank those individuals who have purchased a brick already! Please know that bricks can be purchased by individuals going together, by classes, in memory of or as a challenge between different groups, etc. Individuals can also donate without purchasing a brick. We appreciate everyone’s commitment to helping us provide a new playground for the children.

This week’s STP Tip of the Week: The STP Committee would like your input! In the packet this week you will find a flyer with a QR code to scan or a link to a form for an STP Survey. We ask that you take a few moments to complete the survey so we can better serve everyone with this important fundraiser!

Have a wonderful weekend!
Rosann Doherty
