LAST CALL for a Pre-K cookbook.

I’m so excited that we are once again going to let God’s light shine through us by collecting food for lunch bags for the homeless here in Cape Girardeau. The children will fill the bags on Friday, April 17. We will be giving back to God’s people here in our community. We will be collecting non-perishable items to put into brown paper lunch bags for people to pick up and take to eat. This also helps a lot of children who will be left home alone during the summer. Our goal is to have enough food to fill 100 bags. A note has already been sent home with more information.

On May 6th we will have our End of the Year Celebration at Cape County Park Conservation Center. We will leave school around 8:15 and go play at the playground then go over to the Conservation Center for our program which begins at 9:30.

For the Spring Concert children will dress in their Sunday best attire. Our Spring Concert will also be an art show. Your children will have some of their beautiful art in the show.

Jesus Time: Our story is “Easter Morning.” We will discover that God’s promise was fulfilled with the resurrection of His Son, Jesus. We have life in heaven and our hearts are filled with the joy of Easter morning.

Center/Table Time: Our letter is Zz and our sight word is went. Our block area will be a “Dinosaur Dig.” They are going to love this so much. We will do some more flowers and talk about the life cycle of plants, chickens, birds, and frogs during the next month.

Our artist for the month is Claude Monet. We will do some art inspired by him as well. We will do the Water Lilies in Bloom, The Waterlily Pond with the Japanese Bridge, and Sailboat.
