I can’t believe we are at the end of our year. It will be very busy in our classroom as I try to finish everything I want to do this year. Your children have learned so much, and what a joy it has been to be their teacher. Please keep the small books that are coming home and read them over and over. I will send home a summer packet of a few things for you to do over the summer.

Spring pictures will be taken on Tuesday, April 23. Children may wear nice clothes and you can send in a change of clothes and they can change into play clothes. We have PE that day so they need tennis shoes.

We made cards and wreaths for the residents at Newbridge Retirement Community. On Wednesday, April 24. We will leave school right at 8:10 and return after we sing a few songs. We will need drivers for this quick trip. A permission slip will be coming home very soon.

Our spring concert is Thursday, May 2. Please dress in nice clothes. Your child may come to the classroom at 5:40 and we will get ready to walk into the gym at 5:50. The concert begins at 6:00. After your child sings I will send them to sit with you. You may leave quietly or stay for the rest of the concert.

We will be having our End of the Year Celebration on Friday, May 3. We will stay here at school and do several fun activities. Weather permitting, we will spend our day outside. We will paint, play with bubbles, play t-ball, and just play for the day. We will have a sack lunch outside. I will send a note home and you can choose to have a sack lunch or bring lunch.

Our last big event of the year is our Panther Play Day. A form was sent home for you to sign up to help for the day. We need a lot of helpers to make it a success.

Jesus Time: Our lesson this week is “Jesus Returns to Heaven.” Sometimes our words and actions don’t show the love of Jesus. Jesus died for our sins and promises to return one day to take us to live with Him in heaven.

Center/Table Time: Our letter is Zz. We will continue to learn about the planets in our solar system and outer space. They are so excited about the planets and everything we are learning. We have a lot of friends that would love to be astronauts.
