Dear Families,
We had a great trip to the orchard and Grandpa's Fun Farm on Monday! We learned all about apples and went on a scavenger hunt at the apple orchard, and learned about pumpkins, fed the animals, and played on the playground at Grandpa's Fun Farm. The students should be excited to go back to Grandpa's Fun Farm on October 19 for the PTL Fall Family Fun Night.
This week we opened our Classroom Store. The students will earn stickers each week by making good choices, and then can "buy" little things based on how many stickers they have. They were very excited to "buy" their first item today!
We also have been working on writing cursive letter 'a', and will soon be learning to write more letters.
Have a great weekend!

Dear Families,
We've finished another busy week! We are getting really good at writing cursive 'a' and next week will work on 'c' and 'd'.
We have also been learning about feelings and how to handle different feelings. We will continue to focus on feelings next week, especially uncomfortable feelings like anger.
In Bible we just learned about God's promises and blessings to Abraham and Sarah, and how God blesses us in many ways. Best of all, God has blessed us with a Savior, Jesus. Next week we will learn how God kept His promise of a son to Abraham and Sarah with the birth of Isaac.
Math has been lots of fun as we have been working with linking cubes, pattern blocks, and teddy bear counters. The students love playing with these manipulatives! We are focusing on the AB pattern and are working on one-to-one correspondence. Each lesson builds on previously learned skills and introduces new ones. Occasionally, the worksheet for the day will be an activity for the students to do with parents at home.
Today we all helped bag food with Food for Kidz. All the students were working so hard! We stayed and helped a lot longer than planned because everyone was so into their work. The students should be proud of themselves for a job well done! It was pretty special to see. Bagging continues tomorrow morning from 7-11am.
Grandparent's Day is coming up on October 14! Please see this week's school newsletter for more information, and let me know how many grandparents/special people your student is bringing. We will be doing a special project in the classroom.
Have a great weekend!
In Christ,
