Some useful information..... ... Students cannot talk during a test/quiz even if he/she has turned in quiz or test. All students need silence to complete their test regardless of how much time they take. Everyone must be able to concentrate. Consequences depending on the circumstances will be a zero on test or quiz and a detention.
Additionally, the use of online translators is easy to spot and will be considered cheating. The assignment will result in a grade of zero (0) for that work. Students copying other's work will receive a zero for the assignment and receive a demerit.
Phones are not allowed on in school. All phones are collected until the end of the day when the students can take them home. They are not allowed to be on in school. Students must turn them on outside our building. Thank you.

William House: In August Happy Birthday to Isabel, Sean and Anthony! In September we have Labor Day, I-Ready testing, Fall Pictures, The Gala, and a day off for students(teacher's Professional Development Day). In September Happy Birthday to Bella, Adelyne, Grace and Ella!
Goal: Students will understand and communicate in Spanish through listening, reading, writing, and speaking. All classes will begin or continue their study of Spanish I. We will cover as much of Spanish I as possible by the time students graduate. Typically, classes cover about three quarters of a high school Spanish I class. Many students do place in Honors Spanish I, Spanish II and some in Honors Spanish II. Regardless of the school, the students who take Spanish or any other foreign language in high school typically do well in their first year and second year.
Tests & Quizzes: In 6th through 8th grades quizzes are usually on Tuesdays or Wednesdays every two or three weeks since we do not have class every day. 5th grade and 4th grade would have quizzes on Thursdays or Fridays.
Grades are broken down into 5 categories: Speaking (25%), Listening/Comprehension (25%), Writing (20%), Reading/Comprehension (20%), and Class Effort(10%). For more information see attachment.
Homework: If there is no written assignment, the homework is to review the material or work on Quizlet.com for extra practice. When Homework is assigned it is due at the beginning of class. Otherwise it is late.
