~Kindergarten: The students are able to log on the computers and launch KidPix like pros!They are all very successful at logging off the device at the end of the class as well. We are working on adding a text box to a picture.

~Grade 1: Students had their 'helper' cards with their name and password. We continue practicing saving a picture and then finding it again. Renaming is still an issue for some, but we are getting there :)

~Grade 2: The students are learning to change font, color and size in google docs. We are practicing highlighting. This is tricky and I have told the students that many mistakes will be made and thats ok. We will continue to work on this.

~Grade 3: The students are learning how to filter items in Google to get just what they are looking for

~Grade 4: We are working on uploading pictures, air dropping items to me

~Middle school: Stem activities the last couple of weeks have included creating gingerbread people and houses after researching a country assigned to them. Slides on traditions were also required.

Immaculate Conception School believes it is important to strive to educate our students to be responsible, safe, and respectful citizens in the world and in the digital world as well. Since technology is part of our work, play, and everyday lives, children need to understand how to safeguard their personal information, how to treat others respectfully, and how to act responsibly while using any technological device.


We are using the curriculum from Common Sense Media (www.commonsensemedia.org/educators/parents) to engage our students in discussions and activities that will empower them to make good decisions when using technology.
