Religion- This week in Religion, students will learn about Jesus showing his glory at His transfiguration as well as Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. At the end of the week, we will learn about Jesus riding to Jerusalem to save us.
5th Grade Math- The fifth graders will begin the week learning how to multiply fractions. Then, they will begin learning how to multiply mixed numbers. Students will begin learning how to divide fractions on Wednesday and how to divide mixed numbers on Thursday. We will end the week reviewing multiplication and division of fractions and mixed numbers.
6th Grade Math- This week, sixth graders will learn about different types of graphs. Students will begin the week learning about inequalities and how to graph them. Then, they will learn how to graph on a coordinate plane. Students will then be asked to graph functions and linear equations. At the end of the week, they will review graphing.
5th Grade Language- Students will begin the week doing a mini research project on how golf began. Then, students will be reading a passage and answering some questions regarding the passage. In the middle of the week, we will discuss contractions, homophones, and homographs.
6th Grade Language- Students will begin the week doing a mini research project on the Navajo Code Talkers. Then, students will be reading a passage and answering some questions regarding the passage. In the middle of the week, we will discuss contractions, homophones, and homographs.
3rd Grade Math- Students in third grade will begin the week working on word problems. Then, we will review for their test on Wednesday. On Thursday, we will begin the next chapter which focuses on division. Students will start by working with counters to model division. At the ned of the week, we will show the similarities between division and repeated subtraction.
4th Grade Math- Students in fourth grade will begin the week estimating quotients to ensure accuracy when dividing. Students will also practice placing the first digit in the correct place value spot. On Tuesday, students will review for their test on Wednesday. On Thursday, we will begin the next chapter which is focusing on division. The first lesson we will do in this chapter involves interpreting the remainder when dividing.
Pre-Algebra- This week in Pre-Algebra, students will begin the week with a review and a quiz on Tuesday. Then, students will begin learning about dilations, similar figures, scale drawings, and scale models.
Algebra- Students will begin the week learning about factoring polynomials. They will then review for a quiz on Wednesday. They will not begin any new lessons with a majority of the class gone at nationals.
