The parent volunteers will be leading games from 10:00am until 3pm. I am requesting volunteers be at HR from 9:15am until 3:15pm. There are 8 game stations so I would love to have 16 parent volunteers. If your child's field day slots are already full on Sign up genius, you can send me a note on Fast Direct. Thanks so much!

Praying for our students who are completing the run part of the Read, Right and Run Marathon tomorrow! Looks like it will be a beautiful day! Have fun and congratulations!

Read, Right, Run!
The Read, Right, Run program is back this year! The program kicks off in October and ends with the race on April 6, 2024.

During the 26 weeks of the program, students are encouraged to run 1 mile, read 1 book and do 1 good deed a week. We will offer a few service projects throughout the year. We will also host an optional running group that meets before school one day a week to help students complete their weekly mile run. Our first morning run will be on the soccer field (weather permitting) on Wednesday, October 18that 7:45 AM.

This program can also be completed independently. However, you still need to register but the requirements can be completed at your own pace and then join us for the race on April 6th!

Welcome to PE for the school year 2023-2024! Lots of fun is in store! Please see below for important information.

When will I come to PE?
Monday, Tuesday and/or Thursday
Please check with your classroom teacher for your specific days.

What should I wear?
Please see the school handbook for specifics.

What are the expectations?
Walk into the gym
Listen to the teacher
Follow directions
Be a good sport
Try your hardest
Remember nothing is impossible with God. Luke 1:37

What happens if I do not follow the rules?
I have three strikes and you’re out policy. If I have to redirect you more than two times to follow classroom expectations then you will sit out of PE class until we can talk and find a solution so you can fully participate in class again.

How is my grade determined?
Please see the school handbook for grading specifics.
A grade level rubric/grading criteria will also be provided.
*report card key for conduct for PE K-8 is as follows:
+ above and beyond
* needs improvement
blank is doing what is expected

What happens if I am injured?
If you need to be excused from PE for any reason, a note from a doctor is necessary. Please bring it with you to class or you may send an e-mail to the office at office@holyr.org. Write a PE note on the subject line.

What are we going to do in PE this year?
We are going to play lots of fun sports, learn new games and activities and learn about fitness as well. Some things you may know, others may be new to you! Always come ready to learn, be safe, practice good sportsmanship and HAVE FUN!

Hello Parents ~
The conduct grade your child will receive on their report card in Physical Education will look different than originally noted on the first of the year handout that was shared on My Bulletin Board within Fast Direct. Instead of giving a +, * or blank for conduct on report cards students in grades K-5 will be given a letter grade. Students in grades 6-8 will still receive a +,* or blank.

Due to this school wide change for specialty teachers, you will no longer see conduct on a weekly basis on the gradebook for this quarter. Your child's grade will still be given using the rubric I originally shared. The goal of grades are to communicate to you and your child about how they are doing in my class. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me at anytime.
