It's hard to believe we are nearing the end of 3rd Grade. Your children continue to work hard and are still meeting learning goals. Students are doing great keeping up with their weekly reading logs, reading beads and life skills. This is the last week for spelling tests and reading logs. Students who read 20 minutes per night Monday through Thursday, or a total of 80 mins per week, will receive a reading bead.

In Religion, we will focus on the fact that all life is sacred. Students will take a final assessment for Religion on Monday, May 10th. We will also continue with Lectio Divina and our guided reflection time in the afternoons we call, "3-minutes with Jesus."

In Social Studies this week, we will conclude our study of inventions and engineering in Missouri history. Students will take a final assessment for Social Studies on Tuesday, May 11th.

In ELA, we will continue our Poetry study this week and learn more about poetic devices such as imagery, personification, alliteration, similes and metaphors. Students will finish and publish their work on their Fiction Narratives during Writer's Workshop time.
