How to Enter Independent Assessments...
When Grading Both the Assessment and the Learning Targets
- Create one event (Type
will be Independent)
- Name the event
- Set max score as points if applicable
- Set the Type as Independent
- DO NOT add the domains
and standards
- This will post your event in the Independent Assessment section
on the grade book report
- Create another event with the same name
- Set Max Score as Letter: P
- DO NOT indicate a Type
(the drop down should read: "Choose
Type")
- Add your domains and standards to this event
- This will post this information in the Learning Path section on
the grade book report
Example: An assessment called
Short Story which is a Term-Paper in Writing
- Create an event called "Short Story"
- Next, create an event called "Short Story" again
- Type: None (the drop down should read: "Choose Type")
- Demonstrate command of the conventions of English grammar
and usage in writing or speaking a. when writing, use correct
capitalization, punctuation, and spelling b. when writing, use correct
comma placement c.when writing, use correct usage of simple, compound,
complex, and compound-complex sentences to signal different
relationships among ideas
