Q:     How do I transfer a student from one course to another?
A: There are 2 options for moving a student from one course to another:

Option #1
- HelpDesk can transfer a student from one course to another as well as transferring the student's report card grades. Grade book grades can not be transferred because the grades are attached to event ID#s and those ID#s are unique to each course. The advantage to this option is that there will only be one course listed on the report card. The disadvantage is that the grade book grades will be removed. However, a hard copy of the GradeBook report can be printed so the grades can be easily accessed. (Please note that grade book grades can be retrieved at any time by placing the student back into the original course.)

Option #2
- Through the 'Show Who Teaches What' screen, the student can be added to the new course, while still being left in the original course. The advantage to this option is that grade book grades will not be lost. The disadvantage is that there will be two courses listed on the student's report card. For some situations, this may be an advantage as it accurately reflects that the student was in one course for a period of time and now is in a new course. If you decide to go with this option, there is a way for the teacher of the original course to hide the student's name in the grade book.
