Recycling Committee (2)
Responsible for collecting recycling from the kitchen and classrooms once a week and taking it to a recycling center.
Harvest Carnival Committee (4)
Responsible for planning Harvest Carnival in October. Duties include coordinating events and games, deciding on concessions/prizes, and organizing volunteers to assist with the event.
Hearing/Vision Screening (4)
Responsible for assisting the school nurse with screening by collecting students from the classrooms and recording results.
MAP Testing Proctor (2)
Responsible for setting up and supervising testing in all classrooms two times per year, giving directions to students and providing computer support.
Fall Athletic Events Committee (4)
Responsible for coordinating volunteers to work at Volleyball home tournaments and the Emanuel Cross Country meet in the concessions or at the gate. We usually have two volleyball tournaments in
Teacher Meal for Conferences (4)
Responsible for providing a light meal for the teachers during the fall conferences.
Beautification Committee (8)
Responsible for coordinating and working clean-up days around the school with other ELS parents once or twice per year.
Aluminum Cans Committee
Responsible for hauling the trailer of aluminum cans to the recycling center once it is full and turning in the collected money to the PTL treasurer.
Yearbook Committee (2)
Responsible for taking yearbook orders in the spring and also putting together and editing the school's yearbook during the summer. Yearbooks are distributed when school starts in the fall.
Marketing Committee (6)
Responsible for promoting Emanuel Lutheran School and all that it has to offer in numerous positive ways: create/update informative DVD, yard signs, fliers, newspaper ads, brochures, radio spots, parades, fundraisers, open houses, etc...
Scrip Committee (8)
Responsible for selling Scrip every Sunday and communion Wednesdays after church. Most people sell approximately once per month. Also responsible for notifying Scrip coordinators of low stock.
Bake Sale Committee (4)
Responsible for communication to families regarding date, time, and what to bring, as well as working at the bake sale before and after church. The bake sale is usually held the first or second Sunday in December.
ELS Apparel Committee (3)
Responsible for choosing apparel, organization of apparel sales, and distribution of items. In person sales are typically done at church and school.
Family Fun Night Committee (4)
Responsible for planning Family Fun Nights throughout the school year. Duties include coordinating new events and/or entertainment, deciding on concessions, and organizing volunteers to assist with the event.
Holiday Meal (10)
Responsible for helping with meal prep and/or serving at the Holiday Dinner in December.
