Hello Parents!

It’s that time of year where the mornings are cold and the afternoons are warmer. It’s a good time to start thinking about sending warm outdoor clothes with your child. Here are some tips:

-snow pants (not just for snow but for warmth)
-wool socks (I can not stress the goodness of wool socks enough!)
-warm coat
-hat that covers ears
-mittens/gloves (waterproof is best)
-waterproof boots (rain boots are working well now, but as temperatures drop, snow boots will be better)
-thermal underwear

*warm and dry hands and feet are KEY to playing comfortably outside!

It’s best to send all these items in a separate bag THAT YOUR CHILD CAN CARRY! Please label EVERYTHING! We already have identical sets of gloves, and we don’t want to mix them up.

Here are links to waterproof mittens and wool socks from Amazon. I have first hand experience with the mittens and think highly of them. I don’t have experience for these specific wool socks, but the reviews are very promising! I’m sure you could also find good quality mittens and wool socks at any outdoor store.
