Behavior Expectations:
Be respectful: listen to the teacher, listen to others that are talking, have appropriate conversations during work time

Be responsible: clean up after yourself, take care of your (and the schools') art supplies, work when it is time to work

Be safe: stay seated, clean up after yourself

General Grading Rubric for Projects:
I follow St. Michael's grading scale. Every project is worth 100 points. Here is an explanation of what I look for when grading assignments.

A:
-Exceptional Work
-Enthusiastic art spirit
-Uses tools appropriately
-Uses time wisely...and it shows!
-I CAN DO IT attitude

B:
-Quality work
-Works hard
-Uses tools appropriately
-Uses time wisely
-I CAN DO IT attitude

C:
-Needs reminders to make quality work
-Minimal effort
-Does not understand the project, but did not ask questions
-Needs a reminder to use tools appropriately
-I CAN'T DO IT attitude

D:
-Poor quality work
-Does not care, does not try; incomplete projects
-Does not listen, therefore does not understand the project
-Does not use tools appropriately
-I CAN'T DO IT attitude

Students receive a possible 3 points for participation each week. To earn the full 3 points, student follows art class expectations listed above (be respectful, be responsible, be safe).
