Science: We are wrapping up our unit on ecosystems this week and looking forward to beginning our unit on studying science practices and the scientific method. For the remainder of the year we will be focusing on performance based lab experiments over the material we have covered all year.

Math: Monday, we are going to review for our test that will be happening on Tuesday. Wednesday, we are going to model volume. Thursday, we are going to develop a volume formula. Friday, we are going to combine volumes of prims.

Reading: In our chapter books we will be reading stories that tell how scientific knowledge can change over time. Most of these selections are expository text. Students must recognize that expository texts present information and facts about a topic in a logical order, supports specific points with reason and evidence and includes text features such as subheadings, photos and diagrams.

English: Inspired by historical fiction reading selections, the students will choose a time period they are interested in learning more about and present their finding to the class in a slide show. We are practicing close reading and marking our passages to make it easy to find information
