Hello everyone I wanted to let you all know a few important dates....

May 14 is field day for pre-k (I will be ordering McDonald's happy meals for my students on this day, and I will also send permission slips home for the students to go to the park with my pre-k aid teachers, and I.) (We will walk to the closest park.)

May 15- Is pre-k's last day of school, and that evening at 6:00 p.m. is the Pre-K Graduation in the school cafeteria. I will notify you to let you know which students will be moving up to Kindergarten next year once I get the end of the year testing complete.

April 22,2024- April 26, 2024 We are going over sight words a, I, the, pink, white, orange, green, blue, yellow, red, mom, dad, like, love, go, to, black, see, purple, brown, down, up, we, my,me,to, and you (these were sent home with students for them to practice)

Number:30

Shapes: triangle, square, rhombus, hexagon, rectangle, heart, star, triangle, circle, and pentagon

Colors: we are going to review all the colors red, blue, green, orange, yellow, white, pink, black, purple, and gray

Letter of the week: We completed the entire alphabet now so we are going to review different letters this week. Today we are reviewing letter E for Earth day.

Students are learning about money. They learned what a penny is worth, and who is on the front of the penny (Abraham Lincoln) and on the back of the penny that it is the (Lincoln Memorial) they learned about the nickel, dime, quarter the half dollar and about what a $1.00 is.

We are counting by 1's 2's, 5's, and 10's and counting backwards from 10.

We are also learning about sun flowers and we planted our own in class so the kids can see how they grow, and change.

With it being Earth day today we are painting our own earth picture with salt, glue, and paint. The kids really had fun with this today, and we are going to learn about recycling, and how we can help to keep our earth clean.

We will continue practice writing and identifying names, using scissors, coloring, and learning to count. We have been preparing for church, and we are now going every Wednesday. We are Learning Our Father Prayer, Bless Us O Lord, Hail Mary, and St. Michael. I have also been working with them to make the sign of the cross. (A lot of students are still doing the cross backwards)
We have been saying The Pledge Of Allegiance the kids have really enjoyed holding the flag and have been working hard to say it) We are also working on getting them into a routine in class. Such as lining up, learning the days of the week, months, counting and letting them get familiar with the class room, and focusing on them playing, and socializing with one another.

If you would like to celebrate your child's birthday, please just let me know. Everything has to be store bought or prepackaged.
