Welcome to the KinderNews. This newsletter will be sent home each Friday or last day of the school week. It will update you on the activities we do each week. I will print snack reminders and special events coming up. You can also view the KinderNews on my Fast Direct bulletin board.
At the bottom of the newsletter is a form for Church and Sunday School attendance. Please fill out the form and return in your child's folder on Monday.

ALL LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE ON MONDAY, MAY 13. I will use library bags to send home important items on Tuesday.

This will be the last issue of the 2023-2024 KinderNews. Thank you all for giving me the opportunity to teach your children. They are all special children of God. I wish you and your family a fun and safe summer.

NO FOLDER OR BACKPACK NEEDED ON TUESDAY. On Monday, I will send home a paper bag, I'll supply, with their items from this school year. I am saving some items for their dinner auction book.

On the last day of school, after chapel and awards, K-2 will have our "Good-bye Games." We usually start around 10:00. We are in need of volunteers to help with these activities. Please let me know if you would be willing to help. Thanks.

Over the summer, one important thing you can do to help your child stay fresh for 1st grade is read. Read to them, let them read to you. Use the little reader set I will be sending home on Tuesday.

Community Circles: We learned about the many communities we belong to from our own home to the planet Earth. God gives us people in these communities to care for us. Look for the circles in your child's backpack and ask them to explain them.

Jesus Time: Paul continued to spread the Good News of Jesus to many communities. When he left a city he would write them a letter of encouragement or correction to some problem they were having with their new faith. We call these letters Epistles, they can be found in the Bible.

Kindergarten and First grade completed our service project on Wednesday, amidst all the craziness with the weather. We packed 240 bags of snacks for the summer to help supply the Royal Table, Musketeer Market and families from St. John's. Thank you to everyone who donated food. I especially want to thank Andre and Marie Voges for using their Thrivent policies to apply for the Thrivent Action team Visa cards that purchased $500 of food. Thank you also to Mrs. DeRousse and Claire Diewald for helping with the packing. Thanks to Mrs. Miller, the first graders and kindergarten students whose hard work made this project possible.
