Welcome to the KinderNews. This newsletter will be sent home each Friday or last day of the school week. It will update you on the activities we do each week. I will print snack reminders and special events coming up. You can also view the KinderNews on my Fast Direct bulletin board.

Attached to the newsletter is a form for Church and Sunday School attendance. We give quarterly awards for perfect Church and Sunday School attendance. Regular Church attendance is important to your family's faith growth. Please fill out the form and return in your child's folder on Monday.

Kindergarten will be attending our 8:30 am Lenten Services at church on Feb.25, March 4, 11 & 18
Early Childhood Chapel returns on Friday, March 27, 8:30 in the new gym, K and pre-school will lead with their Holy Week Chapel

Because of the weather, we did not attend Lenten service on Wednesday, March 11. We will have early childhood chapel in the new gym on Friday, March 13 at 8:30.

K-2 Choir is singing "Who Was the Man?" at 10:30 am service on Sunday, March 15. We'd love to see lots of kids come to sing.

The PTL annual Dinner Auction is on Saturday, March 14. Doors at the Hecker Community Club will open at 5:00. Tickets are still currently $40. That includes dinner, select drinks and dessert. Mrs. Brittany Veath has done an excellent job preparing our class project. We thank her for all her time spent in getting it ready. Check our Facebook page to view our Lemon Shake-Up project. Its' super cute!

Third quarter report cards went home today. Sign the envelope, remove the report card and return envelope in your child's folder.

If your child's second quarter Church and Sunday School qualified them for pizza, that will take place at lunch on Monday, March 16.

Thursday, March 19 is our School Open House with registration for 2026-2027 Kindergarten and Pre-school. All school families and church members are invited to attend. It takes place from 5-7 pm. Miss Reagan Birkner, our new Kindergarten teacher for next school year, will be there. Being served in the old gym are complimentary soups and hot dogs. Tour your students classroom and find a sweet dessert made by the teacher.

SAVE THE DATE: Kindergarten and first grade are planning a field trip to the St. Louis Zoo on Thursday, May 7. More information will follow later.

St. John's midweek service on Wednesday nights at 6:30 is now the Lenten service. I have been told now that this year it will count toward attending the previous weekend. Sorry for any confusion.

On the back page of our phonics worksheets (letter sheets) is a dotted box. Each day at school we will echo read these words. They are high frequency words, meaning we'll see them a lot as we are learning our reading skills. Please echo read these with your child every day. As they are learned, allow your child to read them.
